> The student should have a basic knowledge of power electronics, PC’s and control
circuits. The student should also have the basic ability to use test equipment such as
digital meters, analogue meters,oscilloscopes and computers.

Description :

> This course will teach all attendees basic Direct Torque Control (DTC) theory, proper
start-up procedure, proper operation and adjustment, complete programming,
maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the ACS 600 AC drives. The student will
use available programming and troubleshooting tools to solve hardware and
software related problems. The student will customize firmware with the control panel
and Drives Window PC Tool.

Course Objectives :

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
> Understand Direct Torque Control (DTC) theory
> Control and operate the ACS 600
> Program the drive to satisfy their application requirements
> Commission and tune the ACS 600
> Communicate with the drive using all available operator interfaces
> Troubleshoot and correct faults using available tools
> Repair faulty hardware
