The course goal is to teach students to start-up, adjust, operate, maintain, troubleshooting and repair the SAMI STAR digital AC frequency converter using available troubleshooting tools.
Topics include:
> Operation principles of AC frequency converters
> Vector and/or scalar control
> Component and card functions
> Reading and interpreting circuit diagrams
> SAMI STAR Installation
> SAMI STAR Application software
> Operation of the Local and/or remote test panels (CP1 and/or CP2)
> Signal measurement
> Parameter setting
> Initial converter start-up and commissioning
> Fine-tuning the converter
> Replacing and adjusting cards and components
> Fault-tracing methods and maintenance
