Objectives
The “AC 800PEC” Control Platform is ABB’s high performance process control system and belongs to the ControlIT product line. The AC 800PEC is the optimum solution for combining: • the high-speed control requirements of power electronic applications • low-speed process control tasks usually carried out by separate PLC units The AC 800PEC controller is configured and programmed using Control Builder M, ABB’s well-established programming tool complying with IEC 61131-3, and MATLAB®/Simulink® with Real-Time Workshop®.
The course aims to provide the AC 800PEC specific know-how, which is necessary to program a Matlab/Simulink application on an AC 800PEC.
Contents
• Methodic procedure to build up a system simulation, with special focus on later use of the control part in a real-time application • Show parallels between simulation and real-time application
• Guidelines for proper programming in Matlab/Simulink • AC 800PEC specific libraries • Interfaces from Matlab/Simulink to o the FPGA o the PSE-Interface, e.g. to Control Builder • Task handling, timing, dead-times • Ethernet-communication to AC 800PEC • Tools around the AC 800PEC for diagnosis and setup
