Card content:
- There should be two blank line spaces between the name/title information and contact information.
- The maximum numbers of text lines (i.e. total numbers of lines created with the name/title information and the contact information) is fourteen lines. In situations where fourteen text lines are required, one blank line space can be used between the name/title information and contact information instead of two blank line spaces.
- The ABB logo and the last line of text sit on the same baseline. This baseline measures 5mm above the trim line of the bottom of the business card.
- ABB country Web addresses may appear on individual business cards (eg. www.abb.com/no, www.abb.com/us, etc.). Division or company Web addresses should not appear on individual business cards.
- Personal addresses should not appear on the front or back of ABB business cards.
- Quality certification symbols (i.e. ISO) are not allowed on business cards because quality certifications are for those achieved by a whole company and not by an individual person (compare with section "letterheads").
Printing cards:
Always order cards through approved ABB processes, to ensure the ABB brand is well represented, and for economies of scale cost savings. If your location does not have a centralized business card ordering system, please contact your country’s Visual Identity System expert for guidance.
Card stock: It is important to use a high quality stock that reflects the value of the ABB brand. The card stock must be matte, smooth and bright white, of a minimum 220gms weight. The stock cannot be textured or glossy, embossing or the use of raised ink (thermography) is not permitted.
