Industrial IT

Industrial IT is the only Group approved sub brand permitted within ABB. It is always to be subordinate to the ABB brand, as must never be featured without the ABB brand. To find out more about Industrial IT, internal users can go to Industrial IT Deployment site on the Intranet - under Customer Focus. You can access the Marketing Support areas through the deployment site's left hand margin menu. Please note: this link provides no access from outside of ABB's corporate network.

Industrial IT is branded with two distinctive Group-approved graphic elements – the Industrial IT enabled symbol, and a collection of Industrial IT folders.

The Industrial IT enabled symbol

This distinctive mark has been approved for use by ABB Group personnel in helping to communicate the overall Industrial IT Vision to customers. Somewhat like the "Intel Inside" symbol, this ABB mark will be used on communications materials and products (subject to provisions below) to help strengthen and image the Industrial IT offering.

The Industrial IT Enabled mark has been designed in cooperation with ABB Corporate Communications, who has recognized the significance of the Industrial IT initiative and permitted a rare exception to the company's general ban on secondary symbols. Accordingly, the graphic guidelines below must be followed carefully. No alteration of the mark, or creation of additional symbols, is permitted.

It is intended that this mark be used on products and packaging only when the subject product is Industrial IT certified.

The symbol should always be used at a height of 75% the height of the ABB logo. It must never be used without the ABB logo, however it should never be combined with the ABB logo as a single graphic element. The protective field around the ABB logo must be maintained at all times. Likewise, a protective field equal to ½ the height of the Industrial IT symbol must be maintained at all times. The symbol may only be represented in black, or white when revered out of a dark background.

If you have an application for the Industrial IT symbol not listed here, follow the above parameters, combined with the ABB brand basic elements and specific application guidelines for your purpose.

The Industrial IT folder graphics

The use of “folder” graphics has become a popular tool in imaging the product compatibility and variety of the Industrial IT concept. The instructions in this section, and the graphics available for download from ABB Library, are provided to help ensure consistency, and should be used in conjunction with guidelines provided by the Industrial IT Naming and Positioning Policy. A variety of folder graphic options are available for download as follows:
