  • Singapore’s used-water superhighway

    2009-07-03: One of the world’s largest and most innovative water treatment projects is the Changi water reclamation plant, opened in June by the Public Utilities Board, Singapore's national water agency. The plant at the heart of Singapore's massive deep tunnel sewerage system is powered in large part by ABB.

    2009-06-23: An ABB solution for the world’s largest seawater desalination plant using reverse osmosis technology – currently under construction in Algeria - will boost energy efficiency and cut maintenance downtime from weeks to days compared to current industry benchmarks.

  • ABB drives cut energy costs by a cool 11 percent

    2009-06-19: A food processing plant in the U.K. significantly reduced power consumption in a new refrigeration system by installing ABB drives to control motor and fan functions. The upgrade is expected to pay for itself in a little more than two years, saving the company more than $8,700 per year in energy costs.
