    Dividend information

    At ABB's annual general meeting on April 26, 2010, ABB shareholders approved the Board of Directors' proposal to pay a dividend for 2009 of 0.51 Swiss francs per share in the form of a reduction in the nominal value of the shares from 1.54 Swiss francs to 1.03 Swiss francs.

    In 1999, former ABB AG shareholders received a special dividend of CHF 278 million - CHF 30 gross per bearer share and CHF 6 gross per registered share - to equalize the net cash positions of the two parent companies. The special dividend was paid on June 25.
