Already in 1991, the ABB Group committed itself to the environmental principles formulated by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Charta). ABB holds the view that economic development and protection of the environment today and for the following generations should not be a conflict of aims, but to be considered as a task shared by all. This is why the ABB STOTZ-KONTAKT management decided to introduce an environmental management system according to the EU-eco-audit regulation at its headquarter in Heidelberg.

The impact we cause on people and environment when we produce, develop, store, transport and dispose our products should be minimized wherever possible.

The implementation of our environmental policies promotes the careful consideration of environmental matters and the safety of every man and woman. We attach great value to observing environmental and safety-at-work rules as well as to ensure that our machinery, equipment, factory and procedures are safe and of high quality. Where ever it is economically reasonable and ecologically meaningful, we use the best technologies available.
