GETTING THERE & AWAY
The main international airport is Arlanda, 40 km north of Stockholm, 220 km east of Ludvika. The travel time between Arlanda and Stockholm is around half an hour. Other domestic airports in the vicinity of Ludvika are Dala Airport, Borlänge 45 km north from Ludvika and Västerås, 110 km south from Ludvika.
There is a railway station at Arlanda Airport (Arlanda Central) with connections to Ludvika and Stockholm. The airport train to Stockholm Central leaves every 15 minutes in peak times from Arlanda.
Going by bus is a very easy and economic way to travel to Ludvika. All buses plying regular routes leave from and arrive at Cityterminalen close to the Central Station in Stockholm. The airport coaches for Arlanda Airport also depart from Cityterminalen.

Route 1 Central Stockholm; Old Town
If this is your first visit to our beautiful capital, we recommend a stroll from the center (Sergel Plaza) passing the house of Parlaments to the "Old town" of Stockholm. There you can also find the Royal castle.
Route 2 Isle Djurgården
Another route we recommend is a visit on the isle Djurgården. You can go by boat from the old town or by bus. Here you can find The Vasa museum and the open-air museum Skansen and the famous gallery of art , Waldemars udde. In the spring, summertime a stroll in the gardens of Rosendahl may be a pleaseant experience.
