ABB will supply Lausitzer Braunkohle AG (LAUBAG), a lignite company in Lausitz, Germany, with the complete electrical overhaul of a spreader and the transfer machine of an overburden bridge. This will prolong the service life of older machines, and the use of speed-controlled drives and leading management and control technology will help increase efficiency, save energy and reduce mechanical wear. These orders continue the series of modernisation jobs done by ABB in the German lignite industry over the past several years.
