Heracles General Cement Co chooses ABB’s Industrial^IT]

Heracles General Cement Co. which belongs to the Lafarge group has commissioned ABB Greece in a consortium with ABB Switzerland to modernize its cement plant at the Heracles III Plant Evia in Athens. The modernization includes new Industrial^IT for Process Control of two Cement production lines. Heracles General Cement Co. and ABB signed the contract in July 2001.
The scope of supply includes Motor Control Center, Operate^IT workstations, Control^IT controllers and S800 I/O, engineering, installation and commissioning. The first part will start up in November 2001, and the project is expected to be completed in 2003.
