Capacity	2.5 - 4 Million t/y of iron ore pellets
Background	The Board of LKAB decided in November 2004 to invest in a new pelletizing plant to meet the increasing world demand for pellets. The investment also comprises an expansion of the concentrator plant, a new train unloading and loading station as well as an expansion of the 145kV switchgear.

Scope of ABB	Engineering, manufacture, delivery to site, customer training, installation supervision, testing and commissioning of: · 145kV Switchgear · Power Transformers · 6,3kV Switchgear · Power Factor Compensation and Harmonic Filters · Distribution Transformers · Intelligent LV MCC’s · Emergency Power D/G Set and distribution · MV motors and starters for the mill drives · MV and LV variable speed drives · Process control systems · Revamp of process control system for existing concentrator · Field instrumentation
