Training Video Modules

Product Setups, Installations, and Explanations

The following training modules were designed to help customers with various tasks. Modules labeled "IWM" were developed as Interwise modules and to view these you must first install the Participant Software. Modules labeled "WMP" can be viewed in Window's Media Player.

MODULE

XSERIES PRODUCTSDESCRIPTION
IWM002Flow Computer Trend Setup (vcm, 0.71 MB)This module discusses setting up a trend for the battery voltage and the charger. There is information about the register addresses, trend setup, saving the setup, and sending the file to the XFC.
IWM004Assign AO to Process Variable (vcm, 0.73 MB)This module looks at setting an analog output to flow rate. Topics discussed are operations, register addresses (app. array, register), and checking the successful operation of AO.
IWM005Trend Battery Charger (vcm, 0.69 MB)This module discusses setting up a trend for the battery voltage and the charger. There is information about the register addresses, trend setup, saving the setup, and sending the files to the XFC.
IWM006Calibration of AO and Assigning Variable (vcm, 2.01 MB)This is a combination of two other modules with more detail. The discussion includes hardware and software involved in complete setup of the AO. Topics are AO modules and pin outs, calibration of the AO with a multimeter, operations application, register addresses (app. array, register), and rang of the output.
IWM007TFIO AO Calibration (vcm, 0.55 MB)Begins with description of AO modules for the XFC and/or the XRC. Then how to calibrate and scale the 4-20 milliamp output.
IWM008XFC New Flash (vcm, 0.63 MB)This module shows how to load a new flash to an existing meter. This is just to replace one flash with the same type flash, just a newer one. The new flash uses the same station files as the old flash.
IWM009XFC New Station Files (vcm, 0.98 MB)Deletes all station files in the S drive and removes files in the R drive. Then the new station files are loaded in the meter.
IWM010XFC Restore w/o Calibration (vcm, 1.09 MB)Shows how to replace a complete meter but use the station files with the files that were used in the original meter. The station files will be downloaded without the old calibration data.
IWM011XFC Adding a Tube (vcm, 3.68 MB)This session adds a tube to an existing meter. We may not want to completely change the station files (this would delete all flow data). The added tube uses the ABB multivariable XMV for measurement. This shows how to instantiate new applications and how to connect them together.
IWM012MicroFLO Setup (vcm, 2.31 MB)This module shows the typical changes made to a new uFLO meter that should be made to calculate flow at a specific installed location.
IWM013MicroFLO Save (vcm, 1.35 MB)This module shows how to save the station files from a uFLO meter (R:memory) that has just been set up to the PC. Then these files are downloaded to the S:memory.
IWM015Modbus Slave Setup (vcm, 1.88 MB)Modbus slave shows how to set up the XFC for the slave on modbus communications. There is an example of mapping registers in the XFC.
MODULEBTU/NGC PRODUCTSDESCRIPTION
IWM001Btu 8000 Startup Diagnostics Overview (vcm, 0.85 MB)This module is for the diagnostics on the Btu 8000. Topics are initiating the diagnostics, what happens, and looking at the results of the diagnostics. Running the diagnostics will help identify problems in the Btu 8000.
IWM003Chromatogram Explanation (vcm, 0.61 MB)With the Btu 8000 one of the basic pieces of knowledge needed to understand the "inner workings" is to be able to identify peaks on the chromatogram. This module attempts to give the beginning of this knowledge. The chromatogram is divided into detector 1 and detector 2. Peaks on each detector are discussed along with the order and some background about this order.
WMP001Manual Peak Find Post Processing Options (wmv, 5.50 MB)This module will describe different post processing options when performing a manual peak find with the NGC8206. Post processing is a quick technique for changing parameters and seeing immediate results without running a complete 5 minute single cycle.
WMP002NGC Activesync Troubleshooting (wmv, 4.02 MB)Activesync is software provided in Totalflow's PCCU NGC installation CD that is used to interface the NGC8206 with the customer's PC via USB cable. This module describes common issues and solutions with activesync/NGC connectivity.
Video001Modbus Mapping on NGC 8206 (exe, 14,58 MB)NGC component modbus mapping setup.
MODULEHOST SYSTEM PRODUCTSDESCRIPTION
IWM014Modbus Host Setup (vcm, 2.45 MB)Modbus host shows how to set up the XFC for the host on Modbus communications. There is a modbus request block in this module.
