Capacity	26 Million t/y of pellets
Background	The CVRD Pelletizing Complex in Vitoria consists of seven plants, of various age, with a total annual production of 26 million t/y of iron ore pellets. Two of the plants are owned solely by CVRD, and the others were established as joint ventures with Spanish, Italian, Japanese and Korean companies. The order is for the replacement of the existing process control systems for each plant.
Technology	Lurgi Process
Scope of ABB	Engineering, manufacture, delivery to site, installation, testing and commissioning for each of the 7 production lines, without loss of production, of: - Process Control System - Interface to 15-20 sub-systems - UPS - Cable and installation material
Award of contract	2000
Start of Operation	Ongoing from 2001 to 2004
