2008-07-31 - Expanded Team provides more value for more customers
The Optimization Services Team has grown to meet increasing demand. New team members with years of experience and diverse expertise provide value for the growing Optimization Service customer base.
The team, which reports to US Process Automation Service & Sales Operations V.P., Jeff Tremaine, now includes eight full-time engineers. Kevin Starr, well known around ABB Service and customer sites, has recently joined the Pulp & Paper Services Center of Excellence along with product development specialist Tim Mast.

Robert Horton, US Business Development Manager, 20 years experience in multiple industries

Tim Murphy, 21 years experience in Process Control - Paper Machine DCS, MD, Transition, Color Control
Pete Tran, 23 years experience in Process Control specializing in paper machine Cross Direction Controls
Todd Garrett, 13 years experience in Paper control tuning and service
Simon Meadowcroft, 18 years experience in advanced controls and the cement industry
Ted Matsko, 21 years experience Multivariable Control, Energy Management, Control Loop Performance, Alarm Management
Additional staff will be hired as the business grows, particularly in the energy-related fields.

The Optimization Service approach to market utilizes a three step program: Diagnose, Implement, and Sustain. These steps can be delivered separately or combined, based on the specific customer requirements.
Optimization Services are a component of the ABB Process Automation Product and Systems Lifecycle Services portfolio.
