The ABB Power Products Medium Voltage (PPMV) business unit lost one of their dearest colleagues to colon cancer in the fall of 2008. Robert (Bob) Holley was a loyal employee of ABB for over 42 years. He started his career with Westinghouse in 1966 as a tester, and moved his way up through the ranks in the quality assurance department. When Bob passed away, he held the position of Quality Manager for PPMV North America, located in Lake Mary, Florida. Bob was a dedicated employee, confidant, father, husband, son and great friend to many. Bob was the inspiration and catalyst for PPMV US’s fundraising, as colon cancer is a preventable and treatable disease.
Colon cancer is the second largest cancer killer in America, but it doesn’t have to be, especially for you. If everyone over age 40 receives annual screenings, at least 90% of colon cancer deaths could be prevented. If you have family histories of colo-rectal cancer, then you should start screening sooner. Find the polyp early and stop colo-rectal cancer before it starts. Colon cancer is a preventable, treatable, and beatable disease!
