ABB receives award for enhancing customer value

Zurich, Switzerland, July 21, 2005 – ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, has received the 2005 Customer Value Enhancement Award from Frost & Sullivan, the global growth consulting company, for delivering outstanding value to its customers worldwide.

ABB's Optimax plant optimization systems, in conjunction with plant management and asset management solutions, are designed to help utilities overcome the challenges they face. They provide seamless integration with third-party distributed control systems and ABB legacy systems to maximize operational efficiency.

The Frost & Sullivan Customer Value Enhancement Award is presented every year to the company which has best demonstrated the ability to expand its customer base, while maintaining its existing installed base.
