The ABB LLC family of products offers a complete line of liquid level controls used for monitoring and controlling the level of conductive liquids. The LLC family includes dual and single probe control plus the LLC6 and LLC8 low water level cutoff controls. The LLC8 Series offers clear coated electronics on an OEM style open PC board design. It provides industry standard dimensions, mounting and connection making the LLC8 an excellent replacement for competitive designs. SSAC brand designs are backed by a 10 year product warranty. UL 353 recognition means the LLC8 is qualified for limit switch applications like, low water cutoff protection.
Hot water heating equipment. steam generators, steam tables, coffee brewers, steam humidifiers and commercial cooking appliances typically have electric or gas heating elements. Electric heating elements operate safely as long as they are completely covered by water. If the water level drops and the element is exposed, the temperature inside the appliance can rise to an unsafe level. The LLC6 and LLC8 sense this low water level and disconnects the heating element or creates an alarm signal until the water level returns to normal. The LLC8 can be selected with automatic reset, manual reset, or power outage override reset. A trip delay is included to prevent nuisance tripping.
