BU Control Technologies is offering monthly hands-on training workshops on different topics in Ladenburg, Germany. Sign up for them now.

With these workshops we offer you the possibility to learn the main concepts and functionality of our control systems products and service offering. Please see below the schedule for 2014.

Target group
Our end customers, channel partners and ABB colleagues who would like to educate themselves in specific topics around control systems in a hands-on environment. This includes the following persons:

  • Sales personnel of all industries
  • Sales support personnel
  • Partner sales personnel
  • Engineering specialists
The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 25 persons. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop on short notice if it does not meet minimum registration requirements of 5 participants.

System 800xA detailed sales overview
This workshop is intended to provide you with the knowledge of how to layout and offer System 800xA. The individual components and their calculation related parameters are explained. Based on this technical skills example systems are layouted and offers generated with the help of the 800xA Wizard.

Asset Management, Fieldbuses, Remote I/O
The goal of this training course is to get an overview of ABB's Asset Management, understand it as well as learn how to sell it and how to implement it.
We explain what devices are integrated into the 800xA system today and how to get an asset monitor which is not available yet.
We will also look at the fieldbuses supported in System 800xA and how each of them can be integrated. The Remote I/O portfolio of ABB is presented as well as a live demo on how to integrate them into the Asset Management.

System 800xA Electrical Integration
The aim of this training is to understand through Electrical Integration how your power distribution and process electrification devices can be integrated to a System 800xA. You will get an overview of how these devices can be integrated vertically and horizontally to the system and what benefits you can expect of Electrical Integration.

The workshop also offers:
  • the perception of the engineering workflow,
  • the identification of business opportunities and understanding of challenges,
  • the construction of a preliminary architecture,
  • a look in the process electrification and process distribution integration through a 800xA demo.
