2009-03-19 - ABB South Africa is expanding its presence in the Northern Cape
ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, is expanding its presence in the Northern Cape with the inauguration of their new offices in Kuruman on 17 April 2009 as part of the initiative to increase its local presence and support in the region.
The Kuruman office will serve as a marketing, engineering and service support office catering to a wide range of customers across all business segments of ABB including the extensive mining and minerals industry in the region for which ABB has world class technology solutions. Also other sectors such as construction and electricity and water distribution will be targeted.
The new office was inaugurated by Per Wanland, Senior Vice President, Automation Products, in ABB South Africa.
Speaking at the inaugural function, Wanland highlighted the significance of building and maintaining relationships with customers. “It is important for ABB to be where its customers are and our new office in Kuruman demonstrates our local commitment to supporting our customers’ business operations”, says Wanland.
" At ABB we are convinced that we will be able to support our customers with both product, project and service solutions through this branch office. ABB’s technology will help the customers to improve productivity and energy efficiency”, he said.
