ADI teams up with ABB to expand its automation solutions

16/11/07 - Birmingham electrical engineering company, ADI (Automation Design and Installation Ltd) has partnered with ABB’s robotic business in a strategic move to expand its automation solutions capabilities.

Alan Spreckley, Channel Partner Manager for ABB robotics says: “ADI is well-established in the engineering sector, delivering good service across a range of industries. By working with ADI we can ensure that its customers get the most suitable robotic solutions for their needs, and provide the company with the opportunities to develop and expand its own brand.”

ADI Ltd, based in Kings Norton, Birmingham, has developed a reputation for quality and service within the world of engineering over the past 17 years, delivering timely, cost-effective results in small single discipline projects through to major turnkey packages. Offering a wide range of services, including electrical and instrument engineering, control panel manufacturing and project management, ADI recognises the need to satisfy the demands of a challenging market place and offer total engineering solutions to a range of industries from one source.

Ray Tonks, Sales Manager for ADI commented: “As our clients are increasingly demanding a “one stop shop” it is in our interest to be able to provide and support that technical flexibility. By working with ABB we can now offer a much wider range of solutions to our customers, whilst maintaining a fast, accurate and reliable service to new customers who come on board.”

“As an ABB partner, ADI will be able to offer customers the benefits of a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week customer service, plus fast response times to any problems incurred. ABB is an established and proven company and we have already begun to see the positive results of our new partnership”, says Tonks.

ADI is one of the latest companies to participate in the ABB Global Partner Program, designed to provide ABB’s partners with the tools and information to succeed in an expanding market for robot-based automation. ADI will be provided with sales, marketing, technical, application and service support as well as software training for all employees.
