2009-06-18 - Agreement draws on the expertise of global leaders in automation and plastics processing; new system to be featured at NPE 2009
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (June 15, 2009) – ABB Robotics and FRIMO, a leading producer of advanced production systems for plastics processing, have reached an agreement to jointly manufacture and market an automated routing, trimming and cutting cell for the plastics industry. The centerpiece of the agreement, which elevates FRIMO to preferred integrator status with ABB in the plastics industry, is the modular FRIMO FlexTrim cell, which combines the products and expertise of both companies to provide a high performance, cost-effective, and flexible robotic router trimming system. ABB and FRIMO have worked together for many years serving the plastics industry with innovative plastics processing systems.

The new FRIMO FlexTrim cell will be featured at the FRIMO booth (#S-28096) at the 2009 NPE Show June 22 -26 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
