3000A MCCB Circuit Breaker, Smaller, ABB Reliable

ABB is pleased to announce the extension of the Tmax Molded Case Circuit Breaker family to include the T7M and T8 molded case circuit breakers. The UL489, T7M and T8 offer reliable circuit protection with ratings from 1000A to 3000A in a smaller more cost efficient MCCB package.

The new AC current T7M (stored energy operator) and T8 circuit breakers can be equipped with trip units using electronic technology. Electronic trip units provide protection with high tripping precision, reliability, and insensitivity to temperature and electromagnetic interference. The PR231/P (T7), PR232/P and the PR331/P trip units allow setting the trip parameters directly on the front of the breaker with dip switches. The PR332/P trip unit allows access to information and programming using a keyboard and a large graphic display. The PR332/P trip unit offers many advance protection features, including an integrated ammeter, and data logger: 64 events and values are recorded for later analysis. These additional functions can be further enhanced with communication (Modbus and Bluetooth) signaling and measurement modules.

• Interrupting ratings up to 125 kA @ 480V and 100 kA @ 600V
• Standard & 100% ratings of 1600A, 2000A, 2500A & 3000A
• Adjustable Electronic trip units available with enhanced protection features:
  • Data logger 64 event tracking memory
  • Measurement module - measures phase and neutral voltages
  • Modbus RTU and Bluetooth communication modules
  • Ammeter measures current on the phases and neutral
• Complete range of UL field installable accessories- including spring charging motors
• Replaces ABB Isomax S8
