2008-03-03 - ABB’s Center of Excellence Printing (booth 502) will be using the NEXPO trade show in Washington, DC, April 12 - 15, to show the latest versions of its integrated workflow solutions for newspaper printing.
One major focal point will be MPS Cockpit, the management system for the entire newspaper production process from the product definition to the mailroom, which has proved itself at several highly demanding print sites. The additional benefits of the integration of MPS Cockpit with other ABB solutions like the press management system MPS Production and the insert management system MPS InsertManager, to name but two, will be made clear.
The retrofitting of existing printing presses will also be a key theme at the ABB booth, following on from the widespread success the company has had with its retrofit solutions in the US market. Solutions ranging from drive replacement, thru control system replacement and on to complete press refurbishment and reconfiguration will be highlighted. The ABB team will explain the benefits which include prolonging the useful life of existing investments in steel while boosting quality and efficiency.
