The financial liquidity crisis, recessionary fears, fuel prices and environmental pressures are converging to make this a particularly challenging time in global maritime transport. With an expanded agenda, the 32nd TOC conference in Europe provided comprehensive analysis of today’s maritime trade landscape, with particular focus on ports and terminals as critical nodes in international transport chains.
The Conference Opening Day offered a high-level view covering both global challenges and the outlook for Europe, with input from senior industry analysts, ocean carriers, port and terminal operators and hinterland service providers.
