2009-07-30 - ABB’s UK Robotics business will be demonstrating its latest generation of picking, packing and palletising technology with their IRB 360 FlexPicker and IRB 260 robot on stand no. C51 in Hall 5 of the PPMA Exhibition to be held at the NEC, Birmingham 29th September 2009 - 1st October 2009.
Faster processing, faster payback
For packaging applications, the FlexPicker 360 offers the ability to handle heavier objects and accommodate the mass of increasingly sophisticated grippers required in handling diverse products.

Simplified programming and optional space saving controller
Complementing the FlexPicker is ABB’s proven PickMaster software and its IRC5 controller. The PickMaster 3 software demonstrates advanced vision techniques and tightly integrated conveyor tracking capabilities, thus reducing programming time and delivering highly reliable high speed picking applications. The IRC5 controller is an integral part of the FlexPicker robot. The IRC5 is also available in a panel-mounted version, offering substantial space savings and easy integration into machines and production lines.
For rapid palletising
The IRB 260 will be demonstrating PickMaster 5, the software for rapid palletising, offering the highest degree of flexibility and simplifying robot integration into palletising applications. The IRB 260 robot is designed for easy integration into packaging lines with the ability to work close to its' base in order to minimise floor space, thus ensuring high throughputs in flexible packing concepts.
