In October 2008 ABB Crane Systems received an order for a simulator with training for Hutchison Port Holdings (HPH) container terminal in Karachi, Pakistan.
ABB Crane Systems will supply a crane simulator and associated training. HPH is the world's largest operator of container terminals and in Karachi HPH has a great need to educate both crane drivers on the Ship-to-Shore cranes (STS) as well as on the smaller Rubber Tyre Gantry cranes (RTG).
ABB Crane Systems simulator and associated training meets both the educational need of training as well as the technical requirements set by HPH.
The simulator will be on place at the terminal in Karachi in July 2008.
