ABB outlines the impact of the energy revolution on the flow of electricity to points of consumption at Hanover Fair 2017

2017-04-24 - The pioneering technology leader, ABB, is showcasing its role in the energy revolution in terms of supporting a smarter and safer electrical flow to all points of consumption at this year’s Hanover Fair, from Hall 11, Stand A35.

ABB has been pioneering products at the forefront of the global energy revolution, as consumers and Governments demand more responsibly sourced and environmentally friendly energy solutions.

The highlights among these cutting-edge products that embrace smart technology and digitalization will be showcased at Hanover, which is the largest industrial trade fair of its kind in the world, and runs from April 24 to 28, 2017.

Tarak Mehta, President of the Electrification Products division, said: “We are in the midst of the fourth industrial revolution with technology advances driving greener and more efficient energy management methodology. From its stand, ABB will be exhibiting its range of low- and medium-voltage electrical products and solutions that deliver in terms of the factory of the future, digitalized power distribution and sustainability through eMobility for cars and transportation networks, which is set to transform the electrification landscape, and AirPlus, a carbon neutral insulation gas for switchgear.

With 500,000 solar panels being installed each day today and photo-voltaic capacity set to triple by 2020; two million electric vehicles on the road today and a recent study estimating 35% of new car sales to be electric by 2040 Bloomberg New Energy Finance research Feb 2016 ; and the world’s demand for electricity growing by 60% by 2040 Exon Energy Outlook 2017 , the demand for reliable and efficient power is increasing significantly.

Not only will there be a range of solutions on display, but visitors will also have a chance to get hands on with the technology through live demonstrations.

Visitors to ABB’s stand A 35 in Hall 11 will be welcomed by a team of experts who will be on hand to offer professional advice, support and demonstrations.
