Industry and automation experts from 37 countries and from industries as diverse as oil and gas, pulp and paper, and life sciences, will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, share solutions and learn about the latest technologies in automation.
More than 350 technical workshops will be offered at the March 20-22 show, held at the Caribe Royale Hotel. A number of these will deal with new technologies and their applications, with several focusing on aspects of wireless technology, which will feature prominently in this year’s exhibition.
Addressing today's challenges
The conference is organized by ABB with the help of a customer advisory board and offers a series of general sessions and technical workshops, running alongside an exhibition that showcases the latest advances in automation technology. The theme of this year's event – the third of its kind – is "Collaborate for Results."
During the general sessions, keynote speakers will address some of the challenges faced by businesses in today’s fast-changing world. And in an extended executive forum, leading experts from ABB and its partners will discuss a variety of topics, focusing on the benefits of collaboration, but including operational excellence, investing in people, and the advantages of improving safety in the workplace.
There will also be panel-led discussions in which key executives from around the world tackle topics such as the innovation and implementation of new business models.
Hands-on training
Others will offer hands-on training in ABB technologies, including the most recent updates to the award-winning automation platform, System 800xA.
Automation World 2007 promises to be just as successful as the event has been in previous years and participants are guaranteed to gain insight into the products and services that keep the automation world running.
