The 1,200-page publication contains the complete range of ABB low voltage products, divided into colour-coded sections, to make it easier for users to find exactly what they are looking for. All of the products featured are accompanied by simple catalogue reference numbers, which can be used when ordering equipment. The catalogue also comes with an easy-to-use searchable CD, which provides quick access to a wealth of data on each product, including detailed descriptions of features, benefits and installation dimensions.
Among some of the products featured in the new catalogue include ABB’s Fieldbus Plug (FBP), a device which allows other ABB devices to connect to any of the major fieldbuses for a plug and produce solution. With the FBP, ABB is now able to offer control equipment such as its new motor controllers and starters in one version, with a neutral fieldbus-independent interface.
Also featured in the catalogue is ABB’s PST range of softstarters. The PST softstarters are as easy to program as a mobile phone and incorporate fieldbus communications and advanced motor protection features. PST softstarters, which speak eleven languages, are suitable for pump, fan, blower, centrifuge, mixer, and conveyor applications.
