ABB now offering stocked inventory of Medium Voltage Instrument Transformers for quick deliveries

ABB recognizes the need to provide customers with short lead times and fast deliveries, especially in critical emergency and replacement applications where long power outages can result in costly revenue losses. To address this need, ABB is now stocking complete, tested Outdoor Medium Voltage Outdoor Instrument Transformers in its warehouse in North Carolina.

Following the recent acquisition of Kuhlman Electric Corporation, ABB has been working to integrate the two companies. One area of focus has been the Medium Voltage Outdoor Instrument Transformers produced by Arteche for ABB and Kuhlman. Last month, ABB successfully transferred of the Arteche product to its warehouse in North Carolina. The Arteche product is insulated with cycloaliphatic epoxy and is available for outdoor applications with voltage classes ranging from 5 kV up to 69 kV.

By providing on-the-shelf availability of Medium Voltage Instrument Transformers, ABB can now ship units within a week from the receipt of customer orders. These short lead times provide a clear advantage to ABB customers who have come to expect only the best from ABB.
