2009-02-11 - Rayong Business Center in Thailand (RBC) was officially opened to directly support all Industrial Estate's Customers in Rayong and nearby provinces, the Eastern part of Thailand.
Chaiyot Piyawannarat, Country Manager of ABB Limited in Thailand, together with the Thailand Management Team and key customers at the opening of the new Rayong Business Center on February 4, 2009.
"we have established ourselves as Service Center here since 1990 or over 18 years ago. Basically it is ABB's philosophy to strengthen our after sales services and stay close to our customers especially during this challenging time", said Mr. Chaiyot.
The primary objective in expanding this Rayong facility is to serve almost 200 of ABB's customers around here and also to take care of ABB's installed base worth around 10 billion Baht in this region which is ranging from main power substation and all the way down to automation systems and products.
With this newly set up facility, you could find all of the integrated structures;
- Productive space of over 2,000 m2
- Almost 50 permanent professionals stationed here mostly service personnel
- Complete service tools and spare part inventory
- Demo units for DCS system - 800xA, Intelligent MCC - MNSiS, Softstart and AC Drive, Relay & SCADA system for substation control including training facilities which is capable of handling > 50 persons
- Main hub for electrical and instrument installation services
