ABB acquires PowerTran Company Ltd.

Edmonton, Canada --- ABB, the leading power and automation technology company, announced today it has acquired the assets of PowerTran Company Ltd., an Edmonton, Alberta-based field and repair transformer service center that employs about 25 employees.

ABB PowerTran joins other facilities in ABB TRES (Transformer Remanufacturing & Engineering Services) organization, including Brampton, Ontario, Varennes, Quebec, Nashville, Tennessee, South Boston, Virginia, and St. Louis, Missouri.
