International association expands
Sydney, Australia, 26 November, 2003 - ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, announced today that Australia had become the latest country to join ABB’s international association with leading global building management systems (BMS) supplier Johnson Controls.
The association means that ABB variable speed drives integrate with the Johnson Controls systems through a communication card specially designed for global connection to all Johnson Controls BMS systems.
It allows Johnson Controls to offer a total and seamless solution to the Australian heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) market. ABB variable speed drives help buildings minimise energy consumption by reducing air and water flow in off-peak demand periods by controlling the speed of air conditioning and pump motors.
Integrating the variable speed drives with the BMS allows the rich suite of information available in the variable speed drive to be centrally reported and analyzed through the BMS.
Johnson Controls is a leading global supplier of building management systems (BMS) to the heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) market.
ABB (www.abb.com) is a leader in power and automation technologies that enable utility and industry customers to improve performance while lowering their environmental impact. The ABB Group of companies operates in around 100 countries and employs about 120,000 people.
