ABB Crane Systems wins order for Energy Corporation EnBw of Germany

ABB Crane Systems has won an order for modernizing two Grab Ship Unloaders from the Energy Corporation EnBw of Germany. The cranes are deployed at EnBw´s power plant in Karlsruhe by the river Rhine.

The order was taken in hard competition that included an EU wide quotation request. In the end ABB´s crane control technology with automatic unloading and integrated control, drive and information systems, as well as the good experience from the original equipment, also delivered by ABB, tipped the scales in our favor.

Like many power plant customers EnBw uses an integrated ABB 800xA solution to run the plant. Naturally, EnBw wanted the cranes to be seamlessly incorporated into their system.
