2009-08-07 - Increased production & availability with reduced maintenance costs
The partnership between ABB and Kunda Nordic Tsement started in 1998, when the Full Service agreement was initially signed and renewed three times since then. ABB’s complete maintenance services contract (ABB Full Service®) covers all machinery in the cement plant including preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, efficiency measures and continuous improvement activities.
Since ABB has taken over the maintenance operation, Kunda Nordic Tsement has had significant increases in production efficiency, improvements of cost effectiveness in spare parts and maintenance costs as well as an increase of technical availability up to almost 100%.
