ABB Crane Systems at TOC 2009 Asia in Shenzhen

The Terminal Operations Conference & Exhibition portfolio includes three annual shipping, ports and terminal events in the major economic regions of Europe, Asia and the Americas.

TOC 2009 Asia took place 3-5 March 2009 at Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Centre, Shenzhen, PR China and was a huge success with over 20% increase in visitor numbers.

TOC 2009 Asia was divided in following parts:

a Exhibition

ABB Crane Systems participated at TOC 2009 Asia exhibition with goals to increase brand awareness and sales and of course to reinforce relations with existing and establish the relations with new customers.

a Free Technical Workshops

TOC Asia 2009 offered visitors to the exhibition a brand new feature - a free-to-attend workshop on the exhibition floor. The workshop included seminars presented by leading industry suppliers. ABB Crane Systems took the opportunity to presented findings about How can a crane systems supplier help increasing STS productivity.

a Conference subject - Managing Uncertainty

We also attended the TOC Asia 2009 conference to improve our knowledge about latest technical solutions and new trends on the market. TOC Asia 2009 addressed the critical issues facing today's maritime port and terminal industries and their users. The dramatic growth of the maritime powerhouse of Shenzhen is also reviewed and analyzed why so many ocean carriers have made the region's facilities their port of call. However, with the prospects of a worldwide economic slowdown on the horizon, the region’s ports and terminals faced slower container volumes.

For 2010, TOC Asia is going back to Shanghai. The event will take place the 16-18 March 2010 at the Shanghai International Convention Centre.
