Frequency stability monitoring based on snapshots of phasors.

The following functions are provided:
  • Contingency detection
  • Identification and size/variation of the most important frequency
  • Amplitude of the most important kind of frequency change
  • Damping of the most important kind of frequency change
  • Gradient of the frequency change
  • Estimated current average of the analyzed signal
  • Estimated oscillation amplitude of the analyzed signal
  • Trend indication of oscillation and the appropriate damping
  • On-line warning and emergency alerting, release and basic value for load shedding for the provided remedial action scheme with a data repetition rate of 1 second
    Prediction of the power systems status after each contingency, allowing potential collapses to be recognized at an early stage, and countermeasures to be initiated.
