Optimization Manager acts as a container for various metallurgical and mathematical models, and controls their invocation, data input, and distribution of model results. It provides the process specific with common product data, production definitions and process information.
The information needed for the model calculations are received mainly from the Execution Manager, Knowledge Manager, and the Tracking Manager. After the model calculations are completed, the generated receipt / preset is sent to the dedicated control systems using the Execution Manager dispatcher.
Models are available for the following processes:
- Primary Metals
- Hot Strip Mills
- Cold Rolling Mills
The integration of 3rd party process models i.e. customer models, is also supported.
