ATEX Directives

The ATEX Directives governing the use of equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres. An acronym of the French ATmosphères EXplosives, ATEX consists of two European Directives which introduce a common standard in the EU member states by amending the relevant national legislation and adding safety requirements for hazardous areas.
