ABB Turbocharging introduces the all-new A100 turbocharger generation as a significant step in the development of single-stage, high-efficiency, high-pressure turbocharging. Three A100 series set a new industry standard with highest compressure ratios for the high-speed and medium-speed diesel and gas engine segments as well as highest efficiency at high pressure ratios for low-speed diesel engines.

With the all-new A100 turbocharger generation, ABB Turbocharging achieves another industry 'first': compressor pressure ratios of up to 5.8 with aluminium compressor wheels for the high-speed and medium-speed diesel and gas engine market, as well as 4.7 for low-speed engines. These and other features of the A100 take special account of today's and future diesel and gas engine generations as well as the market's increasing focus on reducing engine emissions.
ABB will launch the first A100-generation turbocharger, the A140-H for high-speed engines, at the end of 2007, and it will be available in the first quarter of 2008. It will be followed in due course by the A100-M series and the A100-L series for the medium-speed and low-speed engine segments, respectively.
