ABB Turbocharging global service network:
Rijeka station marks century milestone

December 12, 2008, saw a landmark event take place in Rijeka, Croatia, with the official opening of the 100^th ABB Turbocharging service station worldwide. At the inauguration country manager of Croatia, Darko Eisenhuth, welcomed to the century celebration customers from the local maritime community, the Swiss Ambassador to Croatia and Rijekas Mayor, as well as members of senior management from ABB Turbocharging headquarters in Switzerland and from ABB Croatia. The new service station in Rijeka will allow ABB Turbocharging to expand its local activities in Croatia and in the region as a whole, where there has been increasing demand for premium turbocharger support. A station crew of four will ensure that customers can rely on a faster response and first-class, OEM service around the clock.


The Rijeka service station is one of several new official ABB service facilities the company has set up around the world in 2008 to meet the service needs of a growing global customer base. Use of genuine ABB spare parts and having service work performed by certified, ABB-trained engineers ensures maximum reliability and highest efficiency for customers’ turbocharging systems. The new Rijeka station is ideally situated and equipped to provide service work for the Adriatic Sea’s growing maritime community as well as for land-based customers in the region.
