Robot Factory Tour

A guided tour in the robot factory with a number of stations where you will hear about production strategy, logistics, assembly process, painting, testing, quality control and shipping.
Customer Installation Visit - Getrag

Getrag, the system supplier and integration partner for transmission and drivetrain systems, produce details for 4-wheele-drive in their factory in Köping 30 minutes outside Västerås.
Their customers are General Motors, Daimler Chryslser, Volvo, SEAT and Landrover among others.
Getrag use ABB robots (IRB 140, IRB 2400, IRB 4400, IRB 6600) and vision system for machine tending and material handling - loading and unloading baskets to machines.
The robot cells at Getrag are integrated by ABB and partners.
Customer Installation Visit - ICA

Take the opportunity to visit a consumer industry customer installation at ICA AB in Västerås.
ICA is a Sweden-based food retailer. Since the end of 2004, about 70 percent of ICA stores in Sweden have been receiving meat ready-packed from an ultra-modern facility in the city of Västerås.
The facility includes eight large ABB robots and four gantry robots from Cimcorp, which have a combined capacity of as many as 65,000 returnable crates per day. That is the equivalent of 270 metric tons of meat.
