Withdrawable Module for Energy Distribution with special Interlocking Mechanism

The withdrawable modules of sizes 12E to 24E are similar to the original MNS withdrawable modules except for some additional features on the Switching devices and on the mechanical interlock of the switching devices with the module door.

Withdrawable Module

Switching Device
Withdrawable Module for Energy Distribution with special Interlocking Mechanism == Switching Device

  • The operating handle is directly mechanically connected to the switch / or circuit breaker irrespective of the position of a module door
  • The operating handle is padlockable in the OPEN position and that padlocking to the operating handle will mechanically prevent switch / or circuit breaker operation irrespective of the position of the module door.

Module interlocking
Withdrawable Module for Energy Distribution with special Interlocking Mechanism == Module Interlocking

  • Mechanical interlock is provided to prevent the opening of the module door if the operating handle of the circuit breaker is in closed position. However, this interlock is defeated with the use of a tool (i.e. screwdriver) and it requires two separate operations. To defeat the opening of the door with the breaker handle in closed position, push the sliding mechanism to the right by means of a screwdriver and then unlock the door lock.
  • The interlock is provided to prevent the circuit breaker operating handle from being closed unless the module door is in closed, secured position. This interlock is defeated in two separate operations.

Features

Operation
