Safely removes capacitors from an open-stack substation bank
This innovative maintenance tool is easy to operate and facilitates safe handling during the removal and installation of large heavy capacitor units. The device weighs less than 25 kg and operates on ABB bank designs only. It is typically used with fuseless and internally fused capacitor banks, where the capacitors can weigh up to 100 kg which the device is rated to handles easily. It includes a rail assembly retaining support, trolley and winch. One person can operate the device safely and efficiently.
