PASS M00 is the ABB hybrid switchgear module up to 100 kV voltage level and breaking current up to 31.5 kA.
It uses and widens the scope of the operating philosophy of the PASS M0 (145-170 kV) series, whose dominating factors - which have definitely established the product's success with over 800
bays sold throughout the world in just three years - are briefly outlined below:
- all the functions of a bay are combined in a single module
- the operating and interrupting functions are integrated within a housing in SF6
- the product is fully transportable and easy to install
- utmost reliability guaranteed by SF6 technology
- extremely versatile when substation layouts/planning solutions are drafted
PASS M00 innovative characteristic is the five positions disconnector, whose mobile contacts are integrated in the chamber itself.
The proper rotation of the mobile contacts enables the following functions:
- Line disconnection;
- Busbar disconnection;
- Earthing of the line through the closure of the Circuit breaker;
- Earthing of the busbar through the closure of the Circuit breaker.
All these configurations are obtained by means of the same drive.
