IEC Indoor Current Transformer Fuse CEF/CEF-TCU

The CEF/CEF-TCU current limiting fuses are of back-up type.

The low power losses make these fuse links specially suitable in compact switchgear and for fuse switch disconnectors combination. The fuse design is based on overload spots that significantly reduce fuse structure temperature during interruption process.

Additionally, thanks to last modification of striker pin functionality that release can be now temperature dependent - Temperature Control Unit (TCU) - increase application safety for gas insulated panels.

The CEF/CEF-TCU fuses have high breaking capability up to 63 kA.

It is activated when the allowable temperature in the switchgear is exceeded. When the temperature is too high the TCU activates the striker by releasing the switch disconnector, which in turn opens the electric circuit and avoids further temperature increases.
