The RET615 ANSI product is a dedicated transformer relay perfectly aligned for the protection, control, measurement and supervision of two-winding power transformers, unit and step-up transformers including power generator-transformer blocks in utility and industry power distribution substations requiring ANSI/IEEE standards and ring-lug terminals. Flexible user settings afford programming for different CT ratios and transformer phase shifts.
RET615 offers four standard ANSI configurations applicable to the most commonly-used power transformer combinations of delta and wye (grounded or ungrounded) windings. All RET615 configurations feature local and remote control of the transformer high-side and low-side circuit breakers. Low impedance restricted earth-fault (REF) protection is included standard with optional voltage inputs providing overexcitation, voltage and frequency protection elements and power, energy measurements.

The 615 series has been designed to unleash the full potential of the IEC61850 standard for communication and interoperability of substation devices including fast, horizontal relay-to-relay (GOOSE) communications for cost-effective, reliable and high-speed control schemes.
