Compact modular generator protection
RAGCX is a standardised modular package arrangement offering a complete range of generator protection functions suitable for any medium size generator e.g. in the range of 5 - 150 MVA.
The protection packages are divided into two separate DC subsystems for redundancy purposes. RAGCX offers the possibility to include functional options that may be part of the initial delivery or added later. By using individual measuring functions, protection redundancy is obtained even within each subsystem.
A trip and alarm matrix arrangement based on standard auxiliary relays is also provided. RAGCX is suitable for many different types of machines e.g. gas, steam and hydro generators. Applications for machines having rotating exciters are also covered. Differential protection for the step-up transformer may also be part of the RAGCX.
