Type T high-current condenser bushings are designed for use in transformers and other oil-filled apparatus for both vertical and horizontal mounting. They are available from 15 kV through 34.5 kV voltage ratings, in 400A to 21,500A current ratings. The Type T bushing is designed for use in high current applications (up to 21,500 A.) These bushings are also available in high temperature designs for use in bus duct applications. This family of bushings has been designed to minimize space requirements and you will find that they are more compact than other designs for similar applications, and can be mounted on either the cover or sidewall. The condensers which are used in the Type T bushing are of the same proven construction, with low power factor and partial discharge levels, as found in Type O Plus C bushings.
